The Most Interesting Hotel to Stay at in San Jose Costa Rica?
If you are looking to stay at a hotel full of action, right in the belly of the beast, look no further than the Del Rey Hotel in San Jose Costa Rica.
Today I’ll share with you some amazing feedback on why this is the case, and perhaps you’ll believe me on why this is such a well visited establishment.
The Del Rey Hotel Gossip is All True
For starters, this is much more than just a hotel. It’s a hotel, casino, and hook up bar. Not really like one you’ll find in the States, this is one full of the countries most willing and able prostitutes.
Whether your game is rummy, roulette, or blackjack, they have it. They also have an on again, off again sports book. Sometimes there is a rippin’ poker table with a game going at all hours of the night.
If you are thirsty, you can take solace in knowing that the Blue Marlin bar is open 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year. They can’t serve alcohol during Holy Week, referred locally as Semana Santa, and known to us as Easter. Other than that, you are in the clear to drink as much Imperial Beer as you can. The bartenders will even drink with you if you are willing to buy them drinks!
However, the main attraction here is the women. Local “Ticas,” dominate the scene and are surrounded by Nicaraguan, Colombian, and Dominican women. All showing off their assets and barely dressed, these women of the night will “entertain” you for prices negotiated – normally between $30 and $150. Of course, your mileage will vary.
The place has a cast of interesting characters, and nobody can deny the fair share of people who frequent the place are sex tourists. The pink facade of the hotel may be a tip of the cap to the pink spot, but anything about this hotel is lady-like. Savage men from all over the world apply their trade as John’s to the many working women, some negotiating fiercely for extra time and services. It’s a total shit show, and something you won’t ever want to miss out on in person.
If you ever find yourself in San Jose, Costa Rica, the Del Rey hotel is an absolute must visit. You are guaranteed to leave with jaw dropping stories, and perhaps horrific – or beautiful – imagery of the mongering scene in Costa Rica.
If it’s late night, check out the neighboring Key Largo bar, where you can dance the night away.
